Fritz-Dietlof von der Schulenburg, een actief verzetslid en mede-initiatiefnemer, ontmoette Claus Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg in 1944 in Klein Trebbow om zich voor te bereiden op de aanslag op Adolf Hitler, die op 20 juli van hetzelfde jaar mislukte.
