Hechthausen is een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Nedersaksen. De gemeente maakt deel uit van de Samtgemeinde Hemmoor in het Landkreis Cuxhaven. Hechthausen telt 3.452 inwoners. De gemeente omvat naast het dorp Hechthausen ook de dorpen Bornberg, Kleinwörden, Klint, Laumühlen en Wisch.
Hechthausen wordt voor het eerst vermeld in 1233. De dorpskerk, gewijd aan Maria, dateert uit de veertiende eeuw. De toren is in 1971 gebouwd. Het dorp ligt aan de spoorlijn Cuxhaven - Hamburg.
