Bad Sooden-Allendorf is ook verbonden met sprookjes. Elk jaar, in de week na Pasen, vindt in Bad Sooden-Allendorf de traditionele Märchenwoche ("Sprookjesweek") plaats. Tal van evenementen, zoals "sprookjesavonden" en theatervoorstellingen, brengen sprookjes tot leven, omlijst door dagelijkse verschijningen van sprookjesfiguren in het kuurpark. Centraal staat Frau Holle, die naar verluidt op de nabijgelegen Hoher Meißner woonde en dagelijks de verenbedden in de historische Söder Tor ("Soodenpoort") uitschudde.
