Engelnstedt is een van de 31 wijken van de vrijstaande stad Salzgitter in Neder-Saksen, gelegen in de plaats Nord en grenzend aan Lebenstedt, de grootste plaats van de stad. Het is van agrarische aard.
Engelnstedt hoorde tot 31 maart 1942 bij de Landkreis Wolfenbüttel en werd door een administratieve handeling op 1 april 1942 een deel van de grote stad Watenstedt-Salzgitter. Op 23 januari 1951 werd deze officieel omgedoopt tot Salzgitter.
