Augusta Treverorum was in het Romeinse Rijk een belangrijke stad in Gallia Belgica, gelegen aan rivier de Moezel en is nu de in Duitsland gelegen stad Trier. Gesticht tussen circa 18 v. Chr. en 14 n. Chr. groeide het uit tot grootste stad van de Civitas Treverorum, vanaf 297 n.Chr. ook van de provincie Belgica Prima en binnen de katholieke kerk tot het diocees Gallia.
