De zender Magdeburg is een rechtstreeks in de stad Magdeburg op de Lange Lake gebouwde zendtoren met als doel de verspreiding van DVB-T. Met een hoogte van 160 meter is de zendmast het hoogste gebouw van Magdeburg. De zendtoren voorziet het gehele stadsgebied van Magdeburg en de omliggende gebieden van digitaal aardse televisie. Op 31 mei 2016 begon de pilotuitzending van DVB-T2 HD-programma's.
Op 29 maart 2017 eindigde de uitzending van DVB-T-programma's en werd de reguliere uitzending van DVB-T2 HD gestart. Sindsdien zenden in de DVB-T2-standaard de programma's van de ARD, het ZDF en het commerciële aanbod van freenet TV in de HEVC-videocodeerprocedure en in Full HD-resolutie.
