La emisora de Magdeburgo es una torre de transmisión construida directamente en la ciudad de Magdeburgo en el Lago Langen con el propósito de difundir DVB-T. Con 160 metros de altura, el mástil de transmisión es la estructura más alta de Magdeburgo. La torre de transmisión proporciona televisión digital terrestre a toda el área urbana de Magdeburgo y sus alrededores. El 31 de mayo de 2016 comenzó la transmisión de programas de prueba de DVB-T2 HD.
El 29 de marzo de 2017 finalizó la transmisión de programas de DVB-T y se inició la operación regular de DVB-T2 HD. Desde entonces, los programas de ARD, ZDF, así como la oferta comercial de freenet TV se transmiten en el estándar DVB-T2 con el método de codificación de video HEVC y en resolución Full HD.
