Het hoogwaterretentiegebied Lorch-Waldhausen, ook wel hoogwaterretentieruimte Lorch-Waldhausen genoemd, werd van 2006 tot 2008 gebouwd. Het ligt aan de Rems, boven Waldhausen en onder Lorch. Het bekken is na het hoogwaterretentiegebied Schorndorf-Winterbach en het hoogwaterretentiegebied Reichenhof/Schwäbisch Gmünd het derde gebouwde retentiebekken van de waterschap Rems en wordt onder nummer 9 geregistreerd. Het werd op 30 mei 2008 ingewijd.
