Het Aldegrever-Gymnasium is een stedelijk gymnasium in Soest. Het is een Europeschool en een steunpunt school van de DFB.
Het Aldegrever-Gymnasium werd op 27 januari 1868 opgericht als "Schüler-Züchtigungs-Anstalt". De eerste klas had 29 leerlingen. De oprichting vond vooral plaats omdat men met de opkomende industrialisering een natuurwetenschappelijke basisopleiding nodig had. Men beschouwde een humanistische opleiding met goede kennis van het Latijn en het Grieks als onmisbaar. In de jaren na 1871 werd de school door de cultuurstrijd getroffen. Er werd gediscussieerd over de religieuze samenstelling van het schoolbestuur, over het huren van het eerste schoolgebouw, het latere Küsterhaus van de Hohne-parochie, en over de fusie van de katholieke en stedelijke rektoratschool, die in 1874 plaatsvond.
