De Clevertor-gevangenis in Hannover was een gevangenis die „wellicht al aan het eind van de 17e eeuw“ werd gebouwd in de Calenberger Neustadt en tot 1859 aan de oever van de Leine voor de Goethebrug stond.
Het gebouw, dat „wellicht“ nog tijdens het hertogdom Brunswijk-Lüneburg voor zogenaamde „schandelijke misdadigers“ werd gebouwd, lag aan het einde van de Lange straat aan de oever van de Leine. Het stond direct voor de voormalige Cavalierbrug, op de plaats waar tegenwoordig de Goethebrug loopt. De bijbehorende „ondervragingsruimte“ bevond zich „boven de gewelven van het Clevertor.“
