Het Herrenholz is een staatsbos van ongeveer 700 hectare groot in de Nedersaksische gemeenten Goldenstedt en Visbek in de Landkreis Vechta. Een deel van het bos van ongeveer 287 hectare is aangemerkt als natuurreservaat.
Het Herrenholz ligt ten noordoosten van Vechta in het zuiden van het natuurpark Wildeshauser Geest op een historisch oude boslocatie. Het bosgebied is tot minstens in het jaar 819 te traceren. Toen werd het vermeld als "Prinselijk Gewas op Hollwedehusen" in een beschermingsbrief van de Duitse keizer Lodewijk de Vrome. Later werd het bos door prinsen en heren gebruikt voor de jacht en houtwinning. Daardoor kreeg het de naam "Herrenholz".
