De Aremberg is als tertiaire vulkaan met 623,8 m boven NHN de hoogste berg van het Ahrgebergte. Hij ligt bij Aremberg in de Duitse deelstaat Rijnland-Palts, in de Landkreis Ahrweiler. Zijn basaltkegel draagt de ruïne van kasteel Aremberg met uitkijktoren.
De Aremberg verheft zich in het noordwestelijke deel van Rijnland-Palts, ongeveer 2,25 km ten oosten van de grens met Noordrijn-Westfalen en maakt deel uit van het vulkaanveld van de Osteifel. Aan de zuidwestelijke helling ligt het dorp Aremberg, aan de zuidoostelijke voet het dorp Antweiler. Oostelijk langs de berg stroomt een middenloopsegment van de Ahr, en ten noorden wordt hij omstroomd door de westelijke Ahr-bijl Eichenbach.
