De glasfabriek Wisthoff is een glasfabriek die sinds 1971 in het Ruhrdal in de Essense stadsdeel Horst gevestigd is. Ze werd opgericht in Steele. Als onderdeel van de Gerresheimer-groep wordt ze beschouwd als het waarschijnlijk oudste industriebedrijf in het huidige Essen.
Op 17 februari 1723 verleende Friedrich Wilhelm I. toestemming voor de oprichting van de koninklijk bevoordeelde glasfabriek in de destijds landelijke gemeente Königssteele, en in 1727 werd dit officieel bevestigd. Aangezien er in die tijd al steenkool in het Ruhrdal werd gewonnen, was de glasfabriek een van de eerste in het westen van Duitsland die met behulp van deze brandstof kon produceren. Dit, en de nabijheid van de Ruhr, telden in het anders nog economisch zwakke Steele tot de locatievoordelen.
