Die Lützelburg is een kasteelrest en daarmee ook een archeologisch monument in Kempten. Exacte gegevens over de oprichting en het eigendom zijn niet bekend. Johann Baptist Haggenmüller verwijst in zijn in 1840 verschenen geschiedenisboek Geschiedenis van de stad en de vorstelijke graafschap Kempten naar een houten brug tussen de enkele meters noordelijker gelegen Burghalde en de Lützelburg in de 11e eeuw. Juiste bewijzen hiervoor zijn niet bekend. Volgens Joseph Meirhofer waren de kastelen met een "gang" verbonden.
In een van de oudste totaalzicht op de stad, een houtsnede van Hanß Abelin en Hanß Rogel uit het jaar 1569, staat op de heuvel nog een kasteel. Op een afbeelding uit 1673, die Matthäus Merian tekende, is de Lützelburg afgebeeld als ruïne.
