Het kiezel- en recreatiewater van Birkwitz is een voormalige baggerput, gelegen tussen Pillnitz en Pirna in de Landkreis Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge.
Het ligt ongeveer 20 kilometer van Dresden en bevindt zich tussen de Pirnaar wijken Birkwitz in het noordwesten en Pratzschwitz in het zuidwesten. Het meer is ongeveer 900 meter lang en 950 meter breed. Er bevinden zich twee kleine eilanden in. Het westelijke deel wordt gebruikt als recreatiewater en is privéterrein. De exploitant en eigenaar is een maatschap. In juli vindt er elk jaar een strandfeest plaats.
