Pfronten-Ried (04806) is een van de twee stations van Pfronten. Het ligt aan de Außerfernbahn en was tot 1905 het eindstation. Het ontvangstgebouw en de overige stationsgebouwen zijn opgenomen in de lijst van monumentale panden. Het stationsgebied is voor het grootste deel in gemeentelijk bezit.
Nadat in de jaren 1880 de pogingen om een "verre spoorlijn" van Kempten over de Fernpass naar Innsbruck te bouwen waren mislukt, vond er toch in 1895 de opening van het spoortraject Kempten–Pfronten-Ried plaats. Tien jaar later werd de lijn verlengd tot Reutte in Tirol, waardoor Pfronten-Ried een doorvoerstation werd.
Tot in de jaren 1970 waren er voornamelijk van Kempten tot Pfronten zogenaamde vakantietreinen, die ook met de bekende TEE-treinstellen reden.
