Pfronten-Ried (04806) è una delle due stazioni di Pfronten. Si trova sulla linea ferroviaria Außerfernbahn ed è stata la sua stazione finale fino al 1905. L'edificio della stazione e gli altri edifici ferroviari sono stati inseriti nell'elenco dei monumenti storici. L'area della stazione è per lo più di proprietà comunale.
Dopo che negli anni '80 del 1800 i tentativi di costruire una "linea ferroviaria" da Kempten attraverso il passo Fern per Innsbruck erano falliti, comunque nel 1895 fu inaugurato il tratto Kempten–Pfronten-Ried. Dieci anni dopo, la linea fu prolungata fino a Reutte in Tirolo, trasformando Pfronten-Ried in una stazione di transito.
Fino agli anni '70 ci furono principalmente treni per turisti da Kempten a Pfronten, che circolavano anche con i noti treni a motore TEE.
