Op een mooie en rustige plek in de hoofdplaats Coesfeld bevindt zich de Kolping-onderwijsinstelling. Het gebouw van de Kolping-onderwijsinstelling Coesfeld werd in 1954 gebouwd en werd door de toenmalige diocesane bisschop Michael Keller ingewijd onder de naam Pius Colleg. Als bisschoppelijke internaatschool was het meer dan twintig jaar een goede gymnasiale leer- en leefplaats.
