Het Koningin-Louise-monument in Seilershof werd in 1811 op de plaats gebouwd waar het lijk van koningin Louise van Mecklenburg in Pruisische handen werd overgedragen.
Louise van Mecklenburg-Strelitz stierf op 19 juli 1810 op kasteel Hohenzieritz op 34-jarige leeftijd en zou uiteindelijk in Charlottenburg worden begraven, terwijl sympathiebetuigingen van de bevolking de overbrenging van de door het volk geliefde koningin begeleidden. Op 25 juli 1810 passeerde de rouwstoet met het koninklijke lijk de toenmalige Mecklenburg-Pruisische grens, gemarkeerd door het Wentow-kanaal, de brug en twee douaneposten. De stoet werd niet langer door Mecklenburgers, maar door Pruisen begeleid. De rouwstoet wisselde van paarden.
