Wessenstedt, gelegen in het hart van de Lüneburger Heide, is een deelgemeente van Natendorf met ongeveer 150 inwoners, dat op zijn beurt behoort tot de Samtgemeinde Bevensen-Ebstorf in de Landkreis Uelzen, Nedersaksen.
Wessenstedt werd bekend door een urnenveld dat in de buurt van het dorp werd ontdekt. De daar gevonden vaten hielpen archeologen bij het dateren van een van de vier fasen van de IJzertijd, regionaal in Noord-Hannover, de zogenaamde "Fase van Wessenstedt".
