Gronau ; Nederlands, verouderd: Gronouw) is een Duitse stad en gemeente in Noordrijn-Westfalen. De stad telt 48.576 inwoners op een oppervlakte van 78,82 km². De stad ligt aan de Nederlandse grens, direct ten oosten van Enschede. De huidige gemeente is een samenvoeging van Gronau en Epe. Gronau is de tweede grootste stad van Kreis Borken en een van de grotere steden in Regierungsbezirk Münster.
