Naar Austraße, 52156 Monschau, Noordrijn-Westfalen, Duitsland

Route gereden tijdens een fiets 3-daagse in Monschau, mei 2023. Dag 3 van de fietsvakantie, wij vertrokken in het centrum parking Austraße (betaalparking), vlak aan de Rur waar de rit vertrekt. De rit loopt mooi langs de kronkelende Rur over een gravelpad tot aan de Rursee in Einruhr, dan gaat het omhoog naar Rurberg, (enkele mooie terrasjes aan de Rursee). De terugweg is hier en daar onverhard en redelijk steil omhoog, dus let op. Het zijn wel vrijwel allemaal autoluwe wegen, tot opnieuw aan de Vennbahn om dan Monschau in te duiken.

Alternatief is parkeren aan Station Konzen, ten N van Monschau, dan ben je direct op de Vennbahn, of parkeren Station Lammersdorf. Dan gaat het bergaf tot in Monschau.
