Setcases betekent letterlijk "Zeven Huizen". Het ligt in de buurt van de Franse grens. De bron van de rivier de Ter ligt net boven Setcases. De kerk van het dorp bevat een barok altaarstuk gewijd aan Sint-Michiel. De belangrijkste economische activiteit van Setcases is toerisme. Vooral wandelaars komen hier graag. In de winter is skiën ook populair in Vallter 2000.
