La Zaida is een gemeente in Aragón, gelegen in de provincie Zaragoza en ingelijfd in de comarca van de Ribera Baixa de l'Ebre.
Vondsten van Iberische aardewerk op geringe diepte zijn de eerste sporen van een menselijke nederzetting, daterend uit de 6e eeuw v.Chr. Op het eerste gezicht zou men kunnen denken dat de naam La Zaida van Arabische oorsprong is, maar filologen beweren dat het afkomstig is van de Iberisch-Baskische stam «zai», wat uitkijkpunt, toren of kasteel betekent.
