De collectie van het Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao omvat meer dan achtduizend stukken, waaronder schilderijen, beeldhouwwerken, werken op papier en toegepaste kunsten, in een opmerkelijke erfgoedcollectie die een chronologie van de 12e eeuw tot het heden omhelst. Het behoudt relevante voorbeelden van oude, moderne en hedendaagse kunst, en er is speciale belangstelling voor de schilderkunst van de Spaanse en Vlaamse scholen, evenals de rijke aanwezigheid van Baskische kunstenaars.
