Het Diocesaan Museum van Jaca, geopend op 22 augustus 1970, bevindt zich in de ruimten rondom de cloisters van de kathedraal van Jaca.[1] Sinds de jaren zestig worden in verschillende parochies van het bisdom middeleeuwse muurschilderingen ontdekt; deze romaanse en gotische werken werden, vanwege hun interesse en singulariteit, het tentoonstellingscentrum. Na de sluiting in 2003 en een grondige renovatie om het Strategisch Plan van de Kathedraal van Jaca toe te passen, werd het op 9 februari 2010 heropend.[2] Het tentoonstellingsprogramma omvat religieuze kunst uit het bisdom Jaca, van de romaanse periode tot de moderne tijd. Het kernonderdeel ervan is romaanse en gotische muurschildering uit de kerken van het bisdom.[3]
