El Molinar is een arbeiders- en visserswijk in de Baai van Palma, op 4 km van de stad, en heeft ongeveer 8.000 inwoners. Het behoort tot de gemeente Palma en wordt begrensd door Can Pere Antoni aan de Portitxol, door het Industriegebied van Llevant en Son Malferit langs de snelweg van Llevant en door de Coll d'en Rabassa langs de torrent Gros. Het ontstond halverwege de 19e eeuw rond de oude vissershaven van Portitxol. Het wordt ook wel de Tweede Molinar of Molinar van Llevant genoemd, ter onderscheid van de aangrenzende Eerste Molinar of Molinar van Ponent, alternatieve namen van de wijk Can Pere Antoni.
