Het IrsiCaixa Instituut voor HIV-onderzoek, of gewoon IrsiCaixa, is een particuliere, niet-winstaande biomedische onderzoeksinstelling, gelegen in Badalona, in de gebouwen van het Universitair Ziekenhuis Germans Trias i Pujol. Het werd opgericht in 1995 op initiatief van Dr. Bonaventura Clotet en werd gesteund door de Sociale Werk “la Caixa” en het Departement van Volksgezondheid van de Catalaanse Generalitat, en maakt deel uit van het netwerk van Onderzoekscentra in Catalonië. Het doel is bij te dragen aan het verbeteren van de kennis, preventie en behandelingen van HIV-infecties en gerelateerde ziekten, met als ultiem doel de pandemie van hiv/aids uit te roeien.
