Aan de ene zijde van het plein staat de Koninklijke Kanselarij of Real Chancillería.
Dit imposante gebouw werd in renaissance stijl gebouwd door Filips II in 1530. Vanuit de koninklijke kanselarij werden diverse rechtbanken in Andalusië en Zuid-Spanje bestuurd en dit gebouw bevat ook het hooggerechtshof. In de 17e eeuw werd er ook een gevangenis bij gebouwd.
