De Rue Montgallet is een straat in het 12e arrondissement van Parijs, niet ver van het Gare de Lyon. De straat is zeer bekend vanwege de vele Aziatische computerwinkels.
De straat heeft z'n naam te danken aan dhr. Montgallet, die hier in lang vervlogen tijden een perceel grond bezat. De straat is als de petite rue de Reuilly zichtbaar op een kaart van Parijs en omstreken die in 1672 gemaakt is door Albert Jouvin de Rochefort). Op latere kaarten is de straat terug te vinden als de Rue Mangallée , rue Mont Gallet in 1760, als de rue de Montgallet in 1775 en werd blijkbaar ook wel de rue Maugallée genoemd.
