De Tour Saint-Jacques is het beginpunt van de Chemin de Compostelle. Vanaf hier leidt de weg naar Tours.
De Tour Saint-Jacques, een gotische toren, is alles wat overgebleven is van de voormalige kerk van Saint-Jacques-la-Boucherie.
Aan de voet van de toren staat een standbeeld van Blaise Pascal, ter herdenking van de experimenten met atmosferische druk, hoewel er discussie bestaat over de vraag of deze hier of in de kerk van Saint-Jacques-du-Haut-Pas werden uitgevoerd.
De toren inspireerde Alexandre Dumas tot het schrijven van het toneelstuk La tour Saint-Jacques-la-boucherie in 1856.
