Mimizan is een gemeente in het Franse departement Landes (regio Aquitanië) en telt 6605 inwoners (2004). De plaats maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Mont-de-Marsan.
Bij dit stadje van 8000 inwoners ligt de enige waterverbinding tussen de kustmeren en de oceaan. Tegenover de gotische klikkentoren staat een klein museum ovder de geschiedenis van Mimizan (Musée de Vieux Bourg). Sinds het begin van deze eeuw maakt de badplaats Mimizan-Plage deel uit van de gemeente Mimizan, hier staat ook het monument van de vliegers Lefévre, Assolant en Lotti die een noodlanding moesten maken, na in 1929 met hun vliegtuig.
