Chris Mercier is een onvermoeibare liefhebber van cultuur en de Frans-Vlaamse identiteit. Hij houdt een typisch cafeetje, het beroemdste estaminet in de streek. Velen hebben zich hierop geïnspireerd. Alles is hier authentiek (decor, sfeer...). Naast de typische gerechten (stoofvlees, coq à la bière, Vlaamse stoofpot...) kun je hier ook genieten van Vlaamse volksspelen en een keuze aan 80 verschillende bieren. Het "Blauwersbier" speciaal voor dit huis wordt gebrouwen in Poperinge. Traditionele en Keltische sfeer.
