Bocht 7 is gekend als de Nederlandse bocht. Hier staat tijdens de beklimming van de Alpe d'Huez 1000-den Nederlanders een feestje te bouwen. Reeds dagen voordien slaan ze hier hun caravan of tent op. De gekte van de Nederlanders op deze Alpe d'Huez heeft een goede reden. Reeds 8 keer haalden ze hier een overwinning. De Italianen volgen op de tweede plaats met 7 overwinningen. Alvast, dat was zo in juni 2013.
