Het Fort de la Pompelle, ook wel bekend als Fort Herbillon, is een van de vele forten die rond Reims zijn gebouwd na 1870 als onderdeel van een versterkingsgordel in het Séré de Rivières systeem. De forten kwamen in gevecht tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog ter verdediging van Reims. Het fort ligt ongeveer 2 kilometer ten noorden van de stad Sillery, naast de N44 weg, tussen Reims en Châlons-en-Champagne. Gebouwd als een ondersteunende positie voor grotere forten en ontmanteld in 1913, heeft het de zwaarste gevechten van de Reims-forten meegemaakt. Het werd tijdens de oorlog gebombardeerd en verkeert nog in staat van verval.
