Het Franse bisdom Aire en Dax ligt in het departement Landes. Het bisdom, gelegen in Novempopulania, werd in of voor de 5e eeuw gesticht. Uit het bisdom waren bisschoppen aanwezig op de synode van Agen in 506.
Tussen 1801 en 1822 werd het bisdom Aire opgeheven en toegevoegd aan het bisdom Bayonne. Nadat het bisdom Aire in 1822 werd hersteld, breidde het zijn jurisdictie uit door samenvoeging met het bisdom Dax op 3 juni 1857.
