De tentoonstelling van 250 m² in de Galerie de Minéralogie et de Géologie, die in oktober 2014 van start ging, onthult een nooit eerder vertoonde selectie uit de mineraalcollecties van het museum. Schatten van de Aarde presenteert 600 mineralen, meteorieten, edelstenen en historische juwelen uit vijf continenten. De scenografie verkent de vorming van mineralen, hun verscheidenheid aan kleuren en vormen en fenomenen zoals fluorescentie. Een twintigtal reuzenkristallen vertelt de geschiedenis van de aarde en het zonnestelsel.
