Het Institut du Monde Arabe, opgericht in 1987, bevordert culturele uitwisselingen tussen Frankrijk en de Arabische wereld. Het biedt een scala aan activiteiten in een prachtig gebouw ontworpen door Jean Nouvel in Parijs. Vandaag de dag speelt het IMA een cruciale rol in het bevorderen van een beter begrip van de Arabische wereld en het versterken van de Frans-Arabische dialoog. Als denktank brengt het verschillende spelers samen om uitwisselingen en samenwerking tussen de twee gemeenschappen te bevorderen.
