De Bibliothèque Mazarine, meestal kortweg de Mazarine genoemd, is de oudste openbare bibliotheek in Frankrijk. Aan de basis van de bibliotheek ligt de verzameling van kardinaal Mazarin , de opvolger van Richelieu en de voornaamste minister tijdens de minderjarigheidperiode van Lodewijk XIV. De bibliotheek van Mazarin werd in 1643 door de kardinaal open gesteld voor geleerden en geletterden. Ze was toen gevestigd in zijn hôtel particulier. Vandaag bezit de bibliotheek een van de rijkste verzamelingen van zeldzame boeken en handschriften in gans Frankrijk
Ze is ondergebracht in het Palais de l'institut de France, vroeger het Collège des Quatre-Nations, gelegen aan de quai de Conti, in de wijk La Monnaie van het 6e arrondissement van Parijs, op de linkeroever van de Seine, tegenover de Pont des Arts en het Louvre..
