Het Iraty-Cize plateau biedt een landschap dat gedurende duizenden jaren is gevormd door water, veehouderij en bosbouw. Als echte toegangspoort tot het Iraty-massief en zijn bos (het grootste beukenbos van Europa) bevindt u zich hier op het kruispunt van drie van de zeven provincies van Baskenland.
Of u nu wandelaar, mountainbiker of kampeerder bent, u kunt genieten van de drie wandelroutes die op dit plateau beginnen. Langs de rivier de Iraty kunt u de geschiedenis van deze mythische berg ontdekken via het Erreka Idorra interpretatiepad, in het hart van het Iraty-bos. Het Chalet de Cize, een informatiepunt en thematische site over herderschap, nodigt u uit om de wereld van de transhumance herders te ontdekken, hun kazen te proeven en een moment met hen te delen tijdens de vele zomerevenementen.
