L'altopiano di Iraty-Cize offre un paesaggio modellato per migliaia di anni dall'acqua, dalla pastorizia e dalla silvicoltura. Vera e propria porta d'accesso al massiccio dell'Iraty e alla sua foresta (la più grande foresta di faggi d'Europa), vi trovate al crocevia di tre delle sette province dei Paesi Baschi.

Seguendo il fiume Iraty, potrete scoprire la storia di questa mitica montagna percorrendo il sentiero interpretativo Erreka Idorra, nel cuore della foresta di Iraty. Lo Chalet de Cize, punto informativo e sito tematico sulla pastorizia, vi invita a scoprire il mondo dei pastori transumanti, a degustare i loro formaggi e a condividere un momento con loro durante i numerosi eventi estivi.
