In het hart van de bastidestad Nay, onder de arcades langs het centrale plein, ligt het Maison Carrée. Dit voormalige 16e-eeuwse herenhuis is een juweeltje uit de Renaissance en staat op de monumentenlijst.
De architectuur van het Maison Carrée doet denken aan de Renaissance, met zijn binnenplaats, uitgebreide gevels en trappentoren met bordes. Een kleine tuin aan het uiteinde van het gebouw zorgt voor veel natuurlijk licht. In het Maison Carrée worden het hele jaar door tijdelijke tentoonstellingen gehouden. Museum in renovatie, opening in juli 2024.
