De stad Pau kocht het park van de familie van gravin Anna de Noailles voor de toenmalige som van 800.000 francs. In 1898 hertekende landschapsarchitect Henri Martinet het in Engelse stijl. Het Beaumont Park herbergt prachtige bomen, waarvan vele meer dan honderd jaar oud zijn: groenblijvende sequoia's uit Californië, ceders uit de Himalaya, araucaria's uit Argentinië en Chili, judasbomen, paardenkastanjes uit de Balkan en magnolia's. De paden lopen samen tot aan de muziektent. De Pyreneese tuin is bucolisch en herinnert aan de berg, de rotsen, de vaste planten en de beekjes. Vlakbij, op de zuidelijke helling, geeft het Théâtre de Verdure in de zomer voorstellingen.
