Deze kerk ligt op de top van de heuvel Sainte-Croix, de wieg van de stad. Ze werd in de 13e eeuw herbouwd bovenop een ouder gebouw, waarvan de overblijfselen nog steeds te zien zijn in de crypte. Tijdens de periode van de Eerste Duitse Annexatie werden de gevel en de klokkentoren aangepast door de architect Conrad Wahn. Binnen is er een gebrandschilderd glasraam uit de 12e eeuw, het oudste in Lotharingen, dat een kruisigingsscène afbeeldt.
