De fiets ten tijde van de pioniers
Kom uitzonderlijke stukken bewonderen of herontdekken, zoals een van de vier bekende exemplaren van de Fisher, de "oudste fiets ter wereld" (circa 1855) die de Michaux (1861-1865) vergezelt en de beroemde Grands-bi uit de collectie van het museum.
Waar deze eerste fietsen ons in staat stellen hun technische principes te verkennen... terwijl we plezier hebben! Van een crankstel, om de krachten en de hefboomarm te illustreren, tot de derailleur om te experimenteren met de wereld van de versnellingen, test hier het levensgrote gyroscopische effect!
