Het Gier-aquaduct is het langste aquaduct dat in de Romeinse tijd water naar Lugdunum bracht. In Mornant heeft het aquaduct de vorm van een tunnel van 825 meter lang. Het meer dan 19 meter diepe mangat gaf toegang tot de tunnel.
