Op deze site staat een monument met gedenkplaten, ter herinnering aan de overwinning van Lotharingen
Bij Rozelieures behaalde het Franse leger zijn eerste grote overwinning sinds het begin van de Grote Oorlog. Op 25 augustus 1914 probeerde het Duitse offensief zich een weg te banen tussen Rozelieures en Saint-Rémy-aux-Bois, met als doel de plaats over te steken die bekend staat als de "trouée de Charmes". Maar het Franse leger verzette zich zegevierend, waardoor de vijandelijke invasie kon worden vertraagd.
