This site presents a monument with commemorative plaques, in memory of the Victory of Lorraine
Indeed, it is in Rozelieures that the French army won its first great victory since the beginning of the Great War. On August 25, 1914, the German offensive tried to pass in force between Rozelieures and Saint-Rémy-aux-Bois, with the aim of crossing the place called "the gap of Charmes". But the French army resisted victoriously, which made it possible to slow down the enemy invasion.
