In de 11e eeuw stond er al een kerk met een chevet en transept ter grootte van de huidige kerk. De eerste verbouwing dateert uit de 12e eeuw, met een constructie in ashlar. De kerk had toen één schip. In de 16e eeuw werd het uitgebreid met een zuidelijke zijbeuk, geflankeerd door drie steunberen. In 1765 werd naast het Romaanse portaal een nieuwe klokkentoren gebouwd. In de 19e eeuw werd de kerk heringericht. De apsis, met een rechter travee, heeft prachtige kapitelen, met name op de triomfboog: links Daniël die de leeuwen zegent en rechts katachtigen die loof uitspuwen.
