Een lusthof aangelegd in de 16e eeuw door Pierre de Mareuil, abt van Brantôme van 1538 tot 1556. Drie Renaissance rustplaatsen met Italiaans geïnspireerde motieven sieren de paden. De schrijver Pierre de Bourdeille, bekend als Brantôme, commanderend abt van 1556 tot zijn dood in 1614 en neef van de vorige abt, was zeer gehecht aan deze tuin die hij van zijn oom had geërfd. Zijn neven noemden hem "mijn neef van de brug" of "Monsieur du Verger". Een 16e eeuwse gebogen brug, waarvan de ingang wordt gemarkeerd door een elegant renaissancepaviljoen, biedt toegang. Het dankt zijn oorspronkelijke vorm aan de noodzaak om de rivier de Dronne en haar bereik die de stad omringen te overbruggen.
